Chantal Flores is a Mexican freelance journalist investigating the impact of enforced disappearance in Latin America and the Balkans. Her debut book on the subject, Huecos: Retazos de la vida ante la desaparición forzada, published in 2024 (Dharma Books). Chantal also covers human rights, migration, and gender violence, and has collaborated with media brands including Al Jazeera, L.A. Times, The New York Times, Yes! Magazine, The Verge, and Vice, among others.
