Rebecca Billi

Rebecca Billi studied architecture between London and Lisbon and earned a master’s in museum studies from Leiden University. Today, she is a PhD candidate at Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, where she plans to expand her research on the agency and role of architectural exhibitions, looking at forms of (counter)archiving and questioning the relationship between museum spaces and the urban context. Her previous work at Leiden University explored Biennales and the impact of tangible and intangible infrastructures in cities through the lens of art practices. In 2022, she co-funded Cosebelle, a design platform focused on production and interdisciplinary inquiry. Rebecca is the scholar and conceptual lead in the project. Aiming to balance an academic career and accessible forms of knowledge-sharing, in the meanwhile she reads, writes, and walks too many kilometers.
