Connie Birdsall
Close your eyes and think about the visual identities of these brands: Starbucks, Delta, Samsung. If you can picture those brands in your mind’s eye, the color, the typeface, the logo, that means their designer has done an extraordinary job. Connie Birdsall had a big hand in designing all of them, and many others. She’s a senior partner and global creative director who leads the design practice at Lippincott, the creative consultancy. She joins me to talk about her long career in branding, and designing some of the most successful brands of our time.
Debbie talks to Connie Birdsall about what to do when a meeting with clients is not going well. “The first thing is to just not get defensive. The other thing, you just need to go through the meeting quicker.”
