S6E6: Archie Lee Coates IV

Archie Lee Coates IV is a founder of Play Lab Inc. a multi disciplinary creative studio. He’s also the executive director of Friends of +POOL which is building a floating pool in the rivers of New York.

Self-defining as a studio with no focus is important for Coates:

I think for us, it’s about the journey. It’s not about the flowers, or the pool, or the magazine, or the thing it’s about. It’s about something a lot deeper than that, which is unquantifiable. It’s undefinable. And that’s why we say we’re a studio of no focus.
