Sarah Jones
Sarah Jones contains multitudes. One moment it might be Habiba Rahal, Professor of Comparative Literature, the next moment it’s officer Joey Mancuso, a 20 year vertan of the force. Or perhaps you might meet Lorraine Levine, a Jewish grandmother who isn’t shy to remind you about your manners, and will probably tell you to tuck in your shirt. Sarah is a Tony and Obie award winning playwright and performer, whose one-woman shows are a tour de force of multicultural character studies.
Debbie talks to playwright Sarah Jones about her relationship with her characters. “I’m not them. And they are not me. I know I’m tired if a little bit of me leaks into a character.”
