Taste: Ron Finley

Los Angeles native Rob Finley calls himself a “gangsta” horticulturalist. He has also been nicknamed the “Renegade Gardener” and the “Guerilla Gardener” because he planted organic vegetables in the parkway in front of his South Los Angeles home … which started a revolution.
Finley believes that gardens build communities. His startling vision for community gardening led to the creation of a school for nourishment and perhaps more importantly, for shifts in cultural perception, education, and nutrition. Join us for our next conference—Taste—in Los Angeles on February 12, and come see how one man’s urban farming efforts have become a catalyst for change in that city, and elsewhere.
We’ll be raffling off some amazing products from our sponsors—books, meals, and the new UP fitness trackers from Jawbone, among others—so stay tuned. And buy your tickets here.
